You are looking at it wrong. Your good condition combine with the blown engine becomes the parts machine. You go out and buy a similar good condition combine for not much more or even less than what an engine for your current combine would cost.
I just can't believe what guys are willing to spend sometimes on equipment repairs vs. just going out and getting a different machine.
