Dealers have taken some pretty big haircuts on low houred used combines and overly expensive tractors. Maybe they make enough on the front end. 

It happens. Dealers can get trapped. Happened to me a dozen years ago. Inventory traded for in good times, prices collapse, get caught. Take it on the chin. Been there. You won’t find a dealer today offering trade prices the same as they were a couple years ago. They got caught too. It can also end up working the other way. Not always a one way street.
