| Depends upon soil type IMO. Sandy soil has the best response to multiple N applications. Heavy soils in my neck of the woods. Had a neighbor put all his N on (liquid) in the fall of 2018. Remember what the rain/runoff concerns in spring/early summer were like in 2019? Terrible. He had no N deficiency that year. That being said, I do multiple N applications. A couple with ground rigs as a herbicide carrier, the balance with pivots to get the most bang for my nitrogen bucks. | |
