What is the secondary market for 48 row planters, X9 with 400 hours, RX 800hp tractors? The first 2 years depreciation can be rough, but who is absorbing that hit? The first user (lease or mud discount)? The seller? Somehow the next owner/user?
Without question, it would be first user. Unless he finds a pigeon that does leases and hasn’t updated their residual value tables for a couple years. Or a dealer that has lost his sensibilities, which both scenarios be highly unlikely. If you’re gonna buy that stuff, you’ll pay the piper. Zero sympathy here.
