Have friend that has been doing that planter, side dress then y drop with Hagie. Like other poster said it depends on weather and variety was his statement to me. Some years it pays off and others it’s a waste of time so I’ve just stuck with side dress. I did a plot once with y drop at V8 with no increase with yield.
