You are not wrong, but new equipment isn't justified unless you use the piss out of it. Back in the old days, the new next generation of tractors was likely so advanced that you about had to buy a new one to keep up. But, we've had awesome hydraulics, a/c and comfort, reliable engines, adequate 3 point hitch, mfwd, and excetra for decades. It is very easy to afford 'older' highly capable equipment. Who cares if it is new?
