It really doesn't even prove that half the farms are the biggest. Because you don't have to be big to gross $1 mil depending on your yield/commodity price/crop raised.


It could be 70%, it just depends on when you call something a farm.  There's almost 211k farms with under $2500 in gross income.  These are people with a cow or a backyard flock of chickens calling themselves a farm. They're almost too small to call themselves a hobby farm, it's just a hobby.
