Now, let me say first that not EVERY state ducks things up quite like IL....
But I would not feel all that warm and fuzzy about being an Illinois teacher working towards retirement right now with a pension funded at 45%. Being retired (and towards the end of the short rows) right now I expect is working fine.
I presume other states are more responsible with taxpayer dollars and pensions.
