Franklinton, LA
The original poster wants to rip about 15,000 linear feet of 1" oak lumber. He is not pleased with his table saw and the edge finish is not important. If the boards are 10' long, he has about 1500 boards to rip. Doing this with a table saw ain't gonna be fun!

I am going to suggest getting someone with a portable band sawmill to rip the lumber. You can turn 20 - 25 boards on edge, clamp them in place and rip one side. The boards can be turned over to rip the other side. Ripping the boards with a portable sawmill will be easier and faster. By ripping each side the boards will be straighter, and the width will be more uniform than what you would get with a table saw.
