We have never hired help to watch our kids when my wife and go to funerals. Death is a part of life and our kids have handled funerals well. Even when grandma passed away a year ago. Of course we do our part to prepare them for what they will see and experience so there is no shock when we arrive.

I personally appreciate when kids are around. Keeps us young.
