95 miles NW of Quitaque, TX | I will disagree with you on people having investments outside of SS or 401k. People are to scared to get the 401k match from the employer.
I knew a person that would work at a job for a while then quit and take all the money out of the 401k and live I guess high on the hog.
Maybe a change could be where the SS from the employee and employer would go into this mechanism. Can you image if you had all that money in a special 401k when you got to 55 or 62. I would be rich.
