Seems like the 10" would have more force at the teeth due to the larger diameter. Raising the blade will result in the teeth cutting at a more downward angle vs. barely raising the teeth above the wood. Not directly answering your question, but I'd use a narrow kerf rip blade and step up to one of these (possibly with a blade stabilizer) if a cheaper big-box store rip blade doesn't meet the cut: https://www.forrestblades.com/woodworker-ii-thin-kerf/
