Riverton Wyoming | If it was not for irrigation we could not grow anything. This last summer was a bit challenging because the ditch company cut us back on water due to the drought. I am hopeful that we will get a lot of snow up in the Wind River Mountains this winter. My primary crop is alfalfa, I am in my rotation into a different crop. In the past I have grown barley, and oats, and Italian ryegrass. We have had pretty good luck with barley or oats as dry hay. I was not all that impressed with the Italian ryegrass; it just didn't seem to do as well as I though it should have. Like everyone I want to get the biggest bang for my buck. | |
