| if you can go a little farther west from Springfield, Highway 266 goes west from the northwest corner of the city, and is the old route. It will go past a couple of old gas stations that are really cool. Gay Parita, and Spencer. from there it intersects and becomes highway 96, which is the old route. There are numerous old buildings along the highway all the way west to Carthage.
look up those locations on Google maps to find where they are, they can be a little hard to find
