east central iowa | We have some generators that are plugged in year round. Reason is when they start they go to 1800rpm right away when they start. We use a coolant heater that is circulating warm coolant. The radiator hoses are always warm. I'm not sure if these motors use a thermostat or not. Anyway we use a zerostart brand. They make many models. 110v or 220v. 750w to 2250w. I use 1500w heaters and sometimes a magnetic pan heater if real cold on these diesel gensets. They also make a model that just heats to 80°. | |
