we had an 05 Passat diesel. 45mpg however fast you could afford the ticket. That thing hugged the road like a racecar. Would have been too much fun if it had double the HP. Was no slouch, but was like having something setup for racing and a stock engine. Oh and the best stereo I’ve ever heard in a car.

We moved 3-4 hours from a dealer and it was a bear to work on since a regular code reader is incredibly vague on one. I once spent 2 weeks talking to guys online and swapping parts to find I needed a .50 price of vac hose to the wastegate. Never anything serious, but some real head scratchers over nothingbuergers. I’m sure now days you can get a code reader good as what the dealers had then for $50 online though. Guess we made too much money and swapped it for a Tahoe to support oil and ethanol!
