A typical block heater is 1500 watts

A typical block heater is actually about half that - 500-1000 watts.

Guess it depends on the definition of "typical." For typical engines on the farm you might be right. Somewhere around 8 or 9 or 10 liters of engine displacement block heaters all jump up to 1500 watts, which is what a typical truck engine is or exceeds. That's 80% of a 15a breaker which is the max continuous load allowed for a 15a circuit by electrical code. I doubt an M11 would be equipped with anything other than 1500 watts.
