IL | We just back from quick beach vaca at Indian Springs, FL. We left Sunday after she played at our nursing home’s Sunday service ( she rotates playing piano at 2 churches and the home services, so we cannot be gone many Sundays) , leaving 8” of snow and upcoming single digit temps ….. home in time for our warm up .
We had a little Airbnb cottage, a unit of a complex , with 2 steps to sand . Yes, it was small ( about 800 if that ) but that’s all we needed
We stopped at Riley Greens Duckblind in Nashville for supper on the way down ( wife is i kind of a big fan )
We used the first day to kick back and catch our breath . Second day we went exploring veg and sod farms in NE Florida, being shown around by a fellow agtalker
When we left they were relocating sand from when the previous hurricanes came through . Our breakfast spot said it took 4 months for them to rebuild
As always, a big part of our trip was finding good places to eat, and we succeeded .
