| As others have said, they both have their place. HF is my go to for hand tools and limited use power tools. For regular/heavy use power tools I still prefer a name brand like DeWalt. Mostly because I have a fleet of batteries for what I have.
Northern carries more stuff for fabrication like welding and torch gas. You can also get alot of components for fabrication like hinges, casters, stake pockets etc. They also carry some hyd stuff as well. | |
