Best thing I found is planting them early at 140k(we r in 20 inch) then as soon as the beans come up and won’t snap come in the high traffic ares with another 140k splitting rows. They switch to the second planting long enough to let what’s left of first ones get some mass. I have done it a third time. I end up with 50 instead of 30 in those areas. I order sacks of shorter season to get them to mature. Last yr had 3.9 then 3.3 then found 2,7 for round 3

I plant early April so I can get 2nd or 3rd in by June

High pop never worked for me they still get on row and eat 3 ft at a time so multiple planting in narrow rows been best luck
