Subject: RE: Best soybean characteristics to withstand deer damage

North Carolina
This is not a end all be all. But for me the past 2 years I have seen where
a group 5.7-7.7 work better than I thought. Now these beans are vegetive beans {DEER BEANS}
and the best part is there indeterminate which is a big plus.
We planted some Pioneer P60Z06E indeterminate on a farm that has big deer issues.
After i planted them the deer hit them hard. I thought they were done.
And actually didn't even post spray the lower 30ac section. I thought it was a waste of time
cause couldn't even see enough of them to spend the money. But went back to spray them 2 weeks
later to spray cause didn't want the weeds. So surprised when I cut them they made 30bu. This part
of the farm historically makes 5-10bu. And this is the 2nd year in a row that it made 30+bu.
Last year i planted Asgrow AG57XF1 indeterminate.
It seems it helped.
