coast of Maine | Started in Fruita,Colorado visited with RonM,used him for the back up muscle on a couple of Marketplace buys.Then drove across Kansas into Nebraska to visit with PigShepherd,he has a neat grain to protein operation and nice kids.Then onto Missouri to visit Patriot81.He has a very nice bunch of land and super nice beef cattle and a very nice wife..Fighting the weather all along but got to Indiana and stayed at Walton Farms cabin on a private lake.His equipment is quite something and a shop to be jealous of and a cute new kid as well.Everyone is different in what they do in ag but all super good guys.Its a darn haul back to Maine,near 3500 miles one way back.Im sure I passed many members farms on Rte 36.across Colorado and Kansas.I would have posted for other visits but had a schedule to get back before it hit zero here.Rte 36=drove on it a lot but one stretch of 500 miles came upon only 3 cars in my lane,,,like we were all alone for the day.Super different country than up here in the woods. | |
