A 1688 will do everything a 2388 will do. Pre aneroid and wastegate, and the Bosch MW pumps were often set hot like the early 7240 boxcars. Pure raw pre emission mechanical power of the mid 90s they were Hogs.
Unfortunately mice has been the demise of most of them.
