You are close to Matejcek’s. I would talk to their service department and see what they have to say about the Fiji. I have a 2004 STX450 that has been giving me transmission issues the past few years. A trade is not in my near future. There is suppose to be a dealer in Iowa that rebuilds the Fiji transmission, then has a dyno they run them on before installation.
I wonder if your thinking of ez equipment? I talked to Ethan this past summer, his remans are cheaper than getting one through case ih. It sounded like he has a case ih shop do the rebuild for him and then he stocks them. I don't have the ability to swap them myself so would have to find a shop to do it for me. If i decide to fix it that's probably the route I would go as of now. What issues are you having? Mine is still operating OK but got an alarm for the trans filter, changed filters and alarm went away, but cut open the old filter and found it plugged with glittery gunk and a couple 2 or 3 small chunks in the bottom of it. Frustrating, tractor only has 4500 verified hours on it.
I might give matejceks a call, I havent talked to them yet. Thanks
