That wasn't the case in Billings or even the little city park in Wolf Point, MT. Commercial campground operators lobbied the cities to get the free camping banned because it was harmful to their businesses.
That's good to point out, Walmart has helped to destroy small business all over. It is common for cities to ban overnight camper parking at Walmart. Good thing.
