Probably. I know the rear air in the suburban was a plus. We didn't use the boat much after the suburban was bought, so it wasn't for that and the 79 chevy 3/4 was on boat duty anyway. As a 2wd it didn't have much more capability except a little more headroom and a front facing 3rd row.
