The full court government lobbying effort by Rockefeller (oil baron) and Hearst (paper baron)) began almost before Henry Ford and other ICE pioneers got their new inventions to run just fine burning homegrown ethanol using NO additives.
The "war on drugs" was started by big oil and paper lobbyists so that an entire species of plant (industrial hemp) that could cheaply and easily be turned into ethanol, paper and other industrial fibers...would be literally outlawed.
The war on hemp is ongoing today. Buried deep down in the One Big Beautiful Bill is language that outlaws any and all hemp based products that contain even almost undetectable amounts of THC. This language will kill a revived/thriving new hemp industry. The industrial hemp being gown and processed in big new facility in small town just a few miles to my North wouldn't give you buzz if you smoked/ingested an entire semi load of the stuff. |
