Subject: RE: Gasoline snowblower

north central Iowa, Hampton
I have a 6 year old Husqvarna 224 at the house and would not recommend that model.

Almost all of 'em use the same engine, so that's not a big deal. My problem is with the controls. There's a "dashboard" mounted up on the handlebars. All the control levers and cables come up there. The mounting and pivot points are all plastic--and much too thin. I had a cable mount break off and decided to order a new panel. I was hopeful, since the part number had changed from the original, but I don't see any noticeable changes on the part. I tried reinforcing with some 2 part epoxy filler before I installed, but I'm also trying to be pretty delicate on the controls.

I moves snow ok as long as the controls function.

Every review I've seen on the Honda is positive. Many Hondas have tracks and I struggle to see how that would have any value on a frozen drive.
