Have not bought Craftsman tools in the last 25 years and have no plant to in the future. Too bad, use to be a good brand. I have a few that need to be replaced, but heard horror stories of getting them replaced at Lowes. Might try, I guess I got nothing to loose.
Quality on the craftsman brand is down too.
I think of HF Icon and Sears Craftsman as both filling the same niche; the best tools you can buy at a brick-and-mortar, that are still affordable by a serious home hobbyist. Neither one was a serious competitor to Snap-On during their respective heydays. Lowes Craftsman doesn't measure up to either Icon or Sears Craftsman. |
