The 1099 you may receive is basically saying that this is what we also sent in to the IRS.The receiver is not required to re file this document.It is a a form that forces the Payee to inform the receiver of these $$ that the IRS knows now.IF and WHEN you get audited ,,and have not filed 1099"s on receivers of your dollars,,,oh my ,,what a PIA.You will pay their taxes ,SSI and matching,ane massive penalties,,BTD ,,one lawn mower guy whom we paid 50$ week...couple years,,he would not sign that he was contractor(butthead) cost me 3 X what the mowing cost.I assume they never audited his books.....
