Anamoose, ND | My mother in law has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. I am certain it is not diet related as she was the healthiest eater I know the last almost 20 years. Her mother suffered from the same disease. My guess in this case it has to be genetics. My wife tells me there is a genetic marker for the type of Alzheimer’s that my mother in law has. Both my wife and her sister had the test done which confirmed they both carry same marker. Doesn’t mean they will get it for certain but I would imagine it will increase their odds. Me, I would not have checked to see if I had that marker, so many other things that can get you, why worry about this one thing.
