Subject: RE: No till vs strip till corn

West Kentucky
We only compared one year on a limited number of strips, but they were within 2 bushel in side by sides. There was a definite difference in distance between nodes with the stripped nodes being several inches taller earlier, but they were always within one growth stage of each other. After looking at it, it was our opinion that the better your planter was set up for no-till, the less the difference or advantage will be with our soil types and conditions. The strips definitely planted nice and they dummy proofed planting quite a lot. If my planter wasn't set up for no-till properly, I would either continue with strips or spend some money equipping planter properly.
