| We got one coming in Wisconsin. They're advertising like crazy about how many "good paying" union jobs the construction will generate. Nothing about how many jobs there will be after the construction is done. If they're only talking about the benefits of the construction jobs and not saying anything about the benefits after the construction, makes me kinda think that there isn't much upside once these are built.
As I understand it, these things take alot of water for cooling and electricity for operating. I'm concerned that not only will electric rates go up, but there will also be brown outs during peak demand times. ( like summer when AC usage is high)
Seriously looking at stand by generators so when this happens, I'm ready. | |
