Virginia, Northern Neck | I have used never-seize on battery posts for more than 40 years.
It works great, never have any corrosion or conduction problems.
Someone else on this site once said they used chainsaw bar oil on battery posts, probably faster and cheaper.
I also use never-seize on wires in crimp connections - everything from 00 battery cables to #16 trailer light connections.
The most important thing is to clean all surfaces thoroughly, I use a wire brush, others use a variety of abrasives.
Most of my batteries these days use terminal lugs instead of the old lead posts with clamps.
I have more than a few batteries where I bolt the wire terminal lugs to the lead battery post clamp, we still have a lot batteries with lead posts.
