Might be able to get winter canola to work if you are close enough to a market. Kinda iffy to get it to overwinter here north of I-80.

I've grown sunflowers. 1000-1500 lb/acre double crop after wheat and roughly double that as full season. White mold will be worse the next time you grow soybeans.

dub has posted about growing sorghum in central/southern IL. Do a search for his posts.
