North Central Illinois | Might be able to get winter canola to work if you are close enough to a market. Kinda iffy to get it to overwinter here north of I-80.
I've grown sunflowers. 1000-1500 lb/acre double crop after wheat and roughly double that as full season. White mold will be worse the next time you grow soybeans.
