I haven't heard of it before you posted it here.

I was looking thru the hybrid selections. There is one - 26D05G - 105 day.  Labeled "Tough as Nails"...  that is what we need on these droughty soils in PA. Tough as Nails.  

I recall about 30-40 years ago, Pioneer had one - or two - that I would call "Tough as Nails".... One was 3140, as I recall.... I don't recall the one number. I think both were in the 118-199 day maturity.  Slow to dry down...  great for high-moisture corn..... when it got hot and dry, they would put on an ear when everything else was burning up.  Tough as Nails.
