East Central Arkansas | What I really like seems to no longer be available. That's the canvas brown duct with the ear flaps that fold inside. Those have flannel lining. I like that for a Winter work cap. Also the Jones style hat. The one in the picture I got from Duluth last Winter. They had them on clearance last year and don't seem to have them anymore. That one seems to be not sized right. It days medium but must be extra large. Had to take a tuck in back but that isn't ideal and will easily blow off unless I have the flaps down.
Just this week I found another Jones style hat at Macks Prairie Wings in Stuttgart AR. This is a Drake brand. It does fit my head better but haven't worn enough yet to know how well I will like it. It's a waxed canvas material. They also have another brand I liked but didn't have one small enough for me.
Also from Duluth a trappers style with the full earflaps that fasten under your chin. No real brim on it but the piece in front that holds up and snaps. Can't use that as a brim as it falls down and covers your eyes. I seem to need some shade for my eyes most of the time. It's a warm hat though. I can't believe I have spent so much for headware the last two years.
The stuff I got from Duluth last year was on a clearance sale at greatly reduced prices. Also got a knit beanie style with brim and ear flaps. Thought that would be good for Winter graveside funerals. My head and ears get cold fast. I also got a ball cap style that had fur flaps I gave my son.
