If your seed salesman is an honest person, and the company they are with is honest, they will admit this to you. Has been proven here in plots multiple times. Sometimes by double digit bpa better conventional verses its stacked counterpart. That’s why most marketing around traits and especially stacked traits is promoted as “cheap insurance”. How much cheap insurance can you afford?
Yes I know some places need certain traits for weed control or insect pressure, I’m not out condemning all the traits or there use.
I would agree, but most if not all seed guys are commission based and get a chunk of the bottom line ($10,000 invoice they make 10%=$1,000). So why wouldn't they want to sell you the most expensive stuff and make the invoice higher. I agree on the cheap insurance thing, how much can you afford. Goes back to weed/insect pressure and do you need the traits. You are buying genetics, not traits when it comes to positioning that hybrid/variety. |
