Understanding how to fit the row unit to the soil and manipulate mud without causing yield limiting problems is the key to no-tilling early wet soils successfully. 33 years never-till with this system. The RID gauge wheel rubber is the whole key to turn the double disc openers wedging and lifting action into a fracturing event. Sometimes lifting 90 percent of the total row units weight in order to achieve this action and positive results in wet high clay environments.
