Don’t be afraid to go elsewhere for seed. That’s what I’ve been doing, tell them it’s too high, and I’m not paying it. Somebody else will work with you, and get you some better prices.
Agreed, it's amazing how quickly they will bend the knee too if you tell them you aren't buying, amazingly another $20-30 a bag comes off, well where was that to begin with which should piss guys off more than anything. Especially if you have a nice size order. I find it crazy that guys pay north of $300 for anything that isn't triple stack, hell it's crazy to even pay that kind of money for triples. I try to keep my pricing inline year over year with operations, I'm defiantly not charging my customers those kind of prices. |
