Roseglen, North Dakota | Hard to totally answer without you sharing your net worth which I don't expect you to. Everyone's net worth is different. But I just roll my eyes when some say buy a umbrella to cover your net worth. If you own any land at all that is virtually impossible. Many operations have net worth that are 5-10 times more than the biggest umbrella you can but. I don't know your situation, if you can get a umbrella to cover your assets I wd do it yesterday.
We are with a larger company and the highest umbrella they give is $7 million and they want to lower that.
To answer your question it is a no brainer to buy the biggest umbrella you can buy. It's hands down the best insurance money you can spend in this lawsuit environment we live in.
If you are at fault and kill someone it won't be big enough but at least it protects some of your assets.
