Lower Indiana Hill Country | Chinese authorities have informed Brazil’s agriculture ministry that 5 Brazilian soybean exporters have been barred from shipping to China. The move follows the rejection of 69,000 MT of Brazilian soybeans after inspectors discovered wheat treated with pesticides in the vessel’s hold. The ministry noted that the suspension affects five facilities out of more than 2,000 authorized to export soybeans to China and emphasized that the matter is being treated with the highest priority.
The ban covers shipments from two Cargill plants and three others operated by Louis Dreyfus, CHS Agronegócio, and 3Tentos.
