EC IA | We were quoted in the $365/bag range, after discounts, for newer PCE numbers. I thought that was high and moved more acres to competitors, at which point the Pioneer went to $400/bag because of the volume decrease. End result, Pioneer has priced and "volume/discount gimmicked" themselves off our farm for next year.
I've found FIRST trial data to be very helpful for this, as we've found varieties from other companies that perform within a few bushels for $50-100/bag less. Even Dekalb this year was a little under $300 for hybrids that were on par with Pioneer last year.
