Bet it's a snap ring off one of the planets.
Be interesting to see what it is.
I would also remove the plug that sits under your brakes
If that little area is full af crap it's usually time for
brakes.
Ok, this tractor has the park brake on the floor. I bet it gets left on often. Are the brakes the same as the park brake ?
