central wi | I think I'm running about the same amount of bushels/hour through my dryer as you when the corn is wetter. I'm dumping into a 48x12 with a spreader, 2 10HP centrifugal fans. I'm dumping hot out of the dryer. I turn my fans on when there is enough corn on the floor and leave them on unless I quit drying for a couple days. My outside temps during harvest can be anywhere from 70 to 20. What I have found is that if I come out of the dryer between 15-16 my corn will end up dropping about a point in the bin. I have never let mine steep. | |
