Chebanse, IL.....

It seems that the old US Govt Savings Bonds that were popular a generation ago have now been replaced by US Govt "I-bonds".

Does anyone purchase them? It looks like they're a better deal than cds? You do have to purchase them direct from govt vs shopping @ various banks/credit unions, etc.
