North Dakota | Yeah I’m not likely going to spend 10k on new openers. I need all the nh3 equipment too if I go that route as well. Found some good take offs for decent price, but still 5-10k there. I might take the wings off to make it 39ft so that’d save a little. Then again because I got it for so cheap and it’s in good shape I’m not afraid to put a little into add ons. To be frank, its my first year back to farming in many years and in a different area and while I know how all of this stuff works, while in the field I’m well aware things work differently everywhere and it’s sort of trial by fire while listening to the neighbors I know. Not a lot of one pass seeding in the area. Plenty of nh3, but usually fall applied with a chisel plow. That or guys spread, dig it in and seed separately. | |
