NW Wisconsin | Nw Wisconsin in a normal year (haven't had one in a few now) is much the same. Wet corn cold temps...
I dump hot 120 to 140°. Biggest bin is 36 by 11. Only time I have run into trouble is trying to harvest/ dry 30% + corn in above freezing temps. (Grinding the piss out of it...) And the not being able to get air through the fines in the core of the bin.
Really wet corn goes better when it is frozen rock hard. It combines like 17% percent. Nice and clean. Never had a problem dumping hot with good quality corn regardless of cold air temps. | |
