EC Mo | Been taking loan all my farming career and have never had to have them sign off on anything when I sell. Always have enough paid off ahead of time to sell and check comes to me with nothing for them to sign. You can pay off any amount at any time.As long as I still have enough bushels in bins to cover what is still under loan there is no problem.I have discussed it at times with them and they agree that I can sell without putting them on the check and none of the elevators have ever mentioned it or asked if I have a loan on the grain.. Real simple and easy,just amazes me how clueless most farmers are in regards to the CCC loan on grain when it really is so simple and a good source of working capital until grain is sold. Much cheaper than a line of credit at the bank. | |
