Pilot Grove, Missouri
Had 4 tons/acre put on in November on a couple small terraced hilltop fields with lower PH's and clay/loam soils with some spots of mostly red clay. Lime was rated about 440 if I remember right. Was double spread at 2T acre each pass. I then moldboard plowed up the terraces and lightly chiselled the rest. This was into bean stubble. These fields had been in a 2 year bean/SRW & double crop bean rotation but have been bean on bean the last 2 years due to SRW and N prices. Will be beans again next year but probably will go ahead and put SRW in the fall of 26. I've put 4 ton at a time in the past and beans have responded well. Will dry spread P&K&S in the spring and field cultivate it in.
